Die Gothic-Szene, die sich in den 1970er Jahren aus der Punk- und New Wave Szene entwickelte, erlebte gegen Ende der 1990er Jahre einen kulturellen Niedergang, wächst aber seit dem Jahr 2000 wieder stetig an.

Mundschutz, Gasmaske, Schutzbrillen, Springerstiefel, Plateauschuhe oder auch farbige (Neon)-Dreadlocks. Gothickleidung und -accessoires kann man in verschiedenen, direkt auf Gothic spezialsierten Gothicshops, erstehen.
